Tool Compatibility
- The 4–12 mm variant requires a three-jaw chuck capable of accepting a 6 mm 3-flat shank
- The 4–20 mm variant requires a three-jaw chuck capable of accepting an 8 mm 3-flat shank
- The 4–32 mm variant requires a three-jaw chuck capable of accepting a 10 mm 3-flat shank
- Compatible with suitable high-power handheld electric drills, pillar drills, drill presses and magnetic drilling machines
- A stationary drilling machine is recommended for thicker material and larger hole diameters
Operating Guidance
- For approximately 1 mm stainless steel, the supplier recommends a handheld electric drill rated above 750 W
- For material approximately 2–5 mm thick, use a stable pillar drill or drilling machine and keep spindle speed below approximately 500 r/min
- Apply suitable coolant or cutting fluid continuously when drilling stainless steel
- Reduce spindle speed as the active drilling diameter or workpiece thickness increases
