Warranty Policy – PERIPLUS MRO SHOP

EU LEGAL GUARANTEE AND PERIPLUS PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY

Effective from: 24 August 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to products purchased directly from PERIPLUS MRO SHOP within the European Union.

It explains:

  • The statutory legal guarantee available to consumers under EU and national law.

  • The additional commercial product warranty provided by PERIPLUS MRO SHOP.

  • The special mandatory warranty rules applicable to certain products purchased by consumers in Hungary.

  • How to submit a warranty or legal-guarantee claim.

In this policy, “consumer” means an individual purchasing primarily for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

2. EU Consumer Legal Guarantee

Consumers purchasing goods from PERIPLUS MRO SHOP are entitled to the statutory legal guarantee provided by the laws applicable in their country of residence.

Under EU rules, consumers receive a minimum two-year legal guarantee when a product:

  • Is defective.

  • Does not correspond to its description.

  • Does not possess the advertised or reasonably expected qualities.

  • Is not suitable for its normal or expressly agreed intended purpose.

The legal guarantee applies regardless of the product’s price and begins when the product is delivered.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable national law, the consumer may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Some EU countries provide stronger or longer protection. Where applicable national law gives the consumer additional rights, those mandatory rights remain fully applicable and take precedence over this policy.

3. PERIPLUS Commercial Product Warranty

In addition to mandatory consumer rights, PERIPLUS MRO SHOP provides the following commercial product warranty based on the gross price paid for one product, excluding delivery charges:

  • Below EUR 25: no additional PERIPLUS commercial warranty unless expressly stated on the product page. Consumers remain covered by the statutory legal guarantee for a minimum of 24 months.

  • EUR 25–600 inclusive: 24-month PERIPLUS commercial product warranty.

  • Above EUR 600: 36-month PERIPLUS commercial product warranty.

The applicable price is the gross product price shown on the order confirmation after any product-specific discount. The warranty period begins when the product is delivered.

The PERIPLUS commercial warranty is additional to statutory consumer rights. It does not replace, restrict or reduce any rights available under applicable EU or national law.

4. Special Rules for Hungarian Consumers

Hungarian law provides a mandatory warranty for new durable consumer goods belonging to legally specified product categories when their gross selling price reaches the applicable statutory threshold.

The Hungarian mandatory warranty periods are:

  • Below HUF 10,000: no mandatory Hungarian product warranty unless a separate commercial or manufacturer warranty is provided.

  • HUF 10,000–250,000 inclusive: 24-month mandatory warranty.

  • Above HUF 250,000: 36-month mandatory warranty.

The applicable Hungarian warranty period is determined using the gross selling price at the time of purchase.

The EUR thresholds in this policy have been set below the corresponding HUF values to reduce the effect of exchange-rate movements. Nevertheless, if the Hungarian statutory HUF threshold results in stronger protection than the automatically displayed EUR-based warranty statement, the mandatory Hungarian warranty applies and takes precedence.

5. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products may include a separate commercial warranty provided by the manufacturer.

Where applicable, the duration and conditions of the manufacturer warranty will be stated on the product page, in the product documentation or in a separate manufacturer warranty statement.

A manufacturer warranty is additional to the customer’s rights against PERIPLUS MRO SHOP as the seller and does not reduce any mandatory statutory rights.

6. What the PERIPLUS Warranty Covers

The PERIPLUS commercial product warranty covers defects in materials or manufacture arising during normal and intended use of the product.

The product must be used, installed, maintained, cleaned and stored in accordance with its instructions, technical specifications and intended application.

7. What the PERIPLUS Warranty Does Not Cover

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the PERIPLUS commercial warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Consumable products or replaceable wear parts that have been used or depleted normally.

  • Damage caused by misuse, overloading, negligence, accident or impact.

  • Incorrect installation, assembly, maintenance, cleaning or storage.

  • Use outside the product’s specified operating conditions.

  • Failure to follow operating, maintenance or safety instructions.

  • Unauthorised modification, disassembly or repair.

  • Damage caused by incompatible accessories, chemicals, batteries, chargers or power supplies.

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect the product’s normal operation.

  • Loss, theft or deliberate damage.

For products with an expiry, shelf-life or use-by date, the warranty does not extend the permitted period of use beyond that date.

These exclusions do not affect claims concerning defects or non-conformity that existed when the product was delivered.

8. Available Remedies

For a valid statutory legal-guarantee claim, PERIPLUS MRO SHOP will provide the remedy required by applicable law. This may include:

  • Repair.

  • Replacement.

  • A proportionate price reduction.

  • Refund or termination of the purchase where legally applicable.

For a claim made solely under the PERIPLUS commercial warranty, PERIPLUS MRO SHOP may repair or replace the product or refund the purchase price, taking into account the nature of the defect and the availability of repair or replacement.

Any commercial-warranty remedy is provided without limiting the consumer’s mandatory statutory rights.

9. Submitting a Claim

To submit a warranty or legal-guarantee claim, contact:

Please provide:

  • The order or invoice number.

  • The product name and article number.

  • A description of the defect and when it was first noticed.

  • Photographs or video where reasonably necessary to assess the claim.

PERIPLUS MRO SHOP may request additional information or ask for the product to be returned for inspection. Products should not be returned before return instructions have been provided.

A missing warranty certificate does not remove any statutory rights where the purchase can be demonstrated by the order confirmation, invoice or other acceptable evidence.

10. Business Purchases

Mandatory EU consumer-protection rights generally do not apply to products purchased primarily for business or professional purposes.

For business customers, warranty rights are determined by:

  • The applicable sales agreement or General Terms and Conditions.

  • Any warranty expressly stated as applying to business customers.

  • The product-specific warranty information.

  • Any applicable manufacturer warranty.

The consumer-focused price-based warranties displayed under this policy do not automatically create the same warranty rights for business purchases unless expressly agreed.

11. Preservation of Mandatory Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or reduces any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under the applicable law.

If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer law, the mandatory legal provision takes precedence.
